DCA Double Portsmouth & Wand Charity Event, 2009
On Sunday, 30th August, twenty-four archers using mixed bowstyles arrived at Dunkeld Park for another entertaining charity shoot, this time in aid of Greyhound Rescue Fife (GRF) and Perhshire's Abandoned Dogs Society (PADS). Luckily, the weather behaved itself for a change providing clement shooting conditions with only a light breeze and a moderate temperature. Our speciasl guest of the day was Vicky, the beautiful greyhound on the right, brought by her current guardians Celia and Jimmy Fernie. The event raised £157, which will be donated to the two canine welfare charities, and special thanks are due to the Dunkeld Park Activity Centre, Mc Ewens of Perth and Dickson & MacNaughton for kindly donating some wonderful prizes and also to our Lady Paramount, Victoria Buchan. (Edited write-up with winners published Perthshire Advertiser 22/9/09)
